Why lead-acid for your OEM program

Lead-acid is a 150-year-old supply chain, and starting batteries are not Class 9 dangerous goods like lithium cells. For importers that means simpler shipping, fewer transport restrictions and lower compliance burden — a mature, dependable supply base for a battery program that runs for years.

Before you source

What do OEM buyers need to know before sourcing?

Name the standard and model

Do not just ask for “a battery”. JIS, DIN and BCI are different case sizes and terminal layouts — they are not interchangeable.

CCA is test-method dependent

A JIS CCA (−15°C) and an EN CCA (−18°C) are different numbers for the same battery. Confirm the basis before comparing quotes.

MOQ follows the container

One 20ft container is the typical minimum. Mixing models into one container keeps unit cost down.

What batteries does Dingwei supply?

Dingwei supplies SLI, AGM, EFB and heavy-duty lead-acid starting batteries for OEM and private-label programs. Lead-acid starting batteries are not Class 9 dangerous goods, so shipping and compliance are simpler than for lithium cells.
